York University professor Fang Tao employed as part-time professor of JU

On the morning of September 23, the ceremony of employing professor Fang Tao as a part-time professor of Jiangsu University was held in the third lecture hall of the conference center. President Yuan Shouqi was present at the appointment ceremony, and about 100 staff members and students from School of Finance and Economics attended the ceremony. President Yuan granted professor Fang a certificate of appointment and pinned a Jiangsu University badge for professor Fang. Professor Fang is a lifetime professor of Human Resources Management and Labor-capital Relationship at York University, and senior researcher of Labor-capital Relationship and Human Resources Management Center at Toronto University. In the past five years, he has published 14 academic papers in SSCI journals, and won 7 Canadian Humanities and Social Sciences Fund research projects and 5 research projects sponsored by Canadian Department of Human Resources Development. In 2009, Professor Fang was nominated for the Award of Canadian Central Bank President because of his research about the influence of massive immigration on the Canadian economy. After the ceremony, professor Fang delivered a lecture entitled “Trade and Prosperity: The Flow of Products and People Between Canada and China ”, introducing American economical crisis, China’s relative advantages, the trend of China’s innovation and development, and Sino-Canadian trade relationship.
