On the afternoon of September 19, the ceremony of appointing Professor Chou Siaw Kiang from the National University of Singapore as part-time professor of Jiangsu University was held in the 3rd Lecture Hall of the Conference Center. Vice president Chen Long attended the ceremony and granted professor Chou a certificate of appointment and pinned a Jiangsu University badge for him. Professor Chou Siaw Kiang went abroad to study at French National Senior Engineering Institute in as early as 1977 , and earned his Ph.D degree in 1980. He ever served as director of Science and Technology Bureau of Singapore and vice dean of Engineering School of the National University of Singapore responsible for international cooperation and exchange. At present, he is director of Institute of Energy of Singapore,and professor of National University of Singapore. At present, he serves as the vice editor-in-chief of Applied Energy , vice chairman of International Conference on Applied Energy, member of the editorial board of International Journal of Energy Research, Open Fuels and Energy Science J.and Open Renewable Energy J. , and the editor-in-chief of Asian Journal on Energy and Environment. He has published more than 200 academic papers, 100 of which are indexed by SCI. After the ceremony, Professor Chou made an academic lecture entitled “Energy technology perspectives and research response for sustainable cities”.
