JSU makes a them report at the 8th Sino-Australian joint commission on sci-tech cooperation

The eighth meeting of China-Australianjoint commission on sci-tech cooperation was held in Shanghai. Wan Gang, minister of Ministry of Scienceand Technology of China, and Australian counterpart Kim Carr attended themeeting and delivered speeches respectively. Jiangsu Universityvice president Xu Huaxi, head of International Office and the Chinese chairmanprofessor of Sino-Australian International Joint Research Centre were invitedto attend the meeting. This meeting was co-chaired by Cao Jianlin, vice Ministerof Ministry of Science and Technology of china and Australian counterpart PatriciaKelly. After the opening ceremony and speech, Ministers Wan Gang and Kim Carrsigned ‘Memorandum of Understanding Sino-Australian Science and Research FundManagement’. Chinese delegation member professor Zhang Chi, from China-AustraliaJoint Research Center for Advanced opt-electrical Molecular FunctionalMaterials, made the theme report of “China-Australia Joint Research Center forAdvanced opt-electrical Molecular Functional Materials: its establishment,opportunities and outlook”. He .introduced the academic and personnel exchangemechanism, large scientificinstrument resources sharing mechanism, joint scientific research mechanism and the recent important achievementsin scientific research by the Sino-Australian joint research team.
