JU and IPFW Sign Cooperation Agreement

On 23rd April, Dr. Michael Wartell, President of Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) paid an official visit to Jiangsu University (JU) with his delegation. Prof. Yuan Shouqi, President of JU, received the visitors in the Reception Hall of the university. The two sides signed a cooperation agreement after the talk.

IPFW was established as a state public university in 1964, which was jointly organized by two world class universities named Indiana University and Purdue University. IPFW offers more than 200 undergraduate and postgraduate courses. It has established friendly collaborative relationship with Beijing Normal University and many other universities and research institutes in China.Based on full communication, both sides reached an agreement on joint undergraduate program of civil engineering. Prof. Xu Huaxi, Vice president of JU, presided over the signing ceremony. Prof. Yuan Shouqi and Dr. Michael Wartell representing their universities signed the cooperation agreement. After the signing ceremony, the IPFW delegation visited Industrial Center and the Library in the company of Prof. Xu Huaxi. They were deeply impressed by the first-class facilities and high quality education of JU.
