Recently, the achievements of one research project chaired by Jiangsu University research professor Yuan Shouqi was awarded the first prize of China Agricultural Water-saving Science and Technology.

The research is about small low-energy -consumption irrigation equipment. The prize for agricultural water-saving sci-tech is the most prestigious prize in the field of agricultural water saving in China. For the year of 2011 there were 4 first prizes, 8 second prizes and 8 third prizes.
