On Mar. 23rd, a delegation headed by Dr. Jerry Gilbert, Provost and Executive Vice President, Mississippi State University (MSU) visited Jiangsu University (JU). President Yuan Shouqi cordially welcomed the delegation. Those who also attended the meeting included leaders or heads from International Office and related schools, institutes or centers.
After brief introductions each, both parties shared information and exchanged opinions on researching areas and programs of mutual interests. Based on friendly discussion and reciprocal benefit, MSU and JU signed a Memorandum of Understanding, signifying a good start for further exchange and cooperation.
The delegation also visited JU’s Industry Center, School of Automotive & Traffic Engineering, Research Center of Fluid Machinery Engineering & Technology, Institute of Agriculture Engineering and Biofuels Institute. During their visits, they discussed and exchanged with the teachers and students on the spot.
Established in 1878, MSU is located in Stakville, Mississippi, USA. It is a statutory and government-funded comprehensive university combininh teaching, research and practice. It ranks 60 among American state universities in aspect of overall research strength, 6 in the field of agricultural scientific research and 35 in the field of engineering scientific research.
