On March 19, the ceremony of appointing professor Yan Deyue part-time professor of Jiansgu University was held in the third lecture hall of Jiangsu University’s Conference Center. Present at the ceremony were Jiangsu University president Yuan Shouqi, the deans of School of Material Sciences and the teachers and students from School of Material Sciences, Institute of Science, School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, School of Pharmacy.

Professor Yan Deyue was elected academician of Chinese Academy of Science in 2005. Having done wide range of innovative research in the field of polymer science, he has published more than 400 academic papers in internationally prestigious journals. His papers have been cited more than 3,000 times. After the appointing ceremony, professor Yan made a lecture on the self assembly of hyperbranched polymers and its application in biomedicine.
