The New England College of Optometry professor delivers academic lecture

September 28, at the invitation of School of Mechanical Engineering associate professor He Jicang from New England College of Optometry paid a visit to Jiangsu University and delivered an academic lecture.

Professor He began his lecture at 2:00 PM in Room A407 in Machinery Building. Some teachers and students from the School of Mechanical Engineering attended the lecture. Professor He got his Ph.D degree from Chicago University and made his postdoctoral research in Harvard Medical School. He has got 4 research grants from American National Institute of Health, made 5 keynote speeches at international conferences and earned 1 national second prize for sci-tech progress. In his lecture, professor He introduced the origin of optometry , its close relationship with optics, the research content of optometry and its significance to human beings’ eye health.
