Prof. Sun Jianzhong attends 2012 International Conference of Entomology held in Korea

August 19-26, professor Sun Jianzhong, director of Jiangsu University Biomass Energy Institute, attended the 2012 International Conference of Entomology held in Daegu, Korea. It is an important meeting of the international entomological community and is held every four years. More than 2,200 scientists from the major countries and regions of five continents attended this conference.

More than 200 symposiums were held , which represented the latest development of entomology. By invitation, professor Sun Jianzhong from Jiangsu University prepared and successfully organized a new symposium about Insects and Biofuels, and delivered a 30-minute keynote speech entitled Integration of the lignocellulolytic systems of insects to biofuels industries. Some scientists engaged in the field of insects and biofuels were invited to make speech. Dr. Ho-Yong Park, chairman of Korean Entomology Society, showed great interest in this new field and was present at all the reports about this field. After the conference, Dr. Ho-Yong Park exchanged more ideas with Professor Sun Jianzhong and expressed the hope to have more cooperation with Jiangsu University.
