Unveiling ceremony of Sino-American Cooperative Research Institute of Fresh-cut Industry held at JU

During the summer holiday, the unveiling ceremony of Sino-American Cooperative Research Institute of Fresh-cut Industry and academic reports were made in the first-floor meeting room of Jiangsu University Library.

Jiangsu University vice president professor Shi Weidong, Yas Group president Mr. Sun Wangping, Professor Pan Lizhong from University of California at Davis, dean of School of Food Science professor Ma Haile, associate director of Sci-tech & Industry Department professor Yu Jiangnan and director of the International Office professor Li Zhongxing attended the ceremony. Professor Ma Haile hosted the ceremony and vice president Shi Weidong made a speech at the ceremony.The Research Institute was established jointly by Jiangsu University, University of California at Davis and Yas Group. After the unveiling ceremony, Mr. Mark Stuart, who is an expert in fresh-cutting and the technical director of Yas Group, made a report about the yesterday and today of America’s fresh-cutting industry. After the academic report, the people from Yas Group visited the laboratories in the School of Food Science.
