May 22, professor Marek Samoc from Wroclaw University of Technology made an academic visit to China-Australian Research Center of Jiangsu University. Professor Samoc is a core member of the Australian team at the China-Australia Joint Research Center for Molecular Functional Materials.
On the morning of 22, an academic report was made in the No.3 Lecture Hall of Conference Center, The title of the report was Femtosecond Z-scan measurements of nonlinear absorption and nonlinear refraction of new metal-containing chromophores and nanoobjects. Before the report, the ceremony of appointing professor Samoc a part-time professor of Jiangsu University was held. Professor Cheng Xiaolong, vice president of Jiangsu University, granted professor Marek Samoc an appointment certificate and pinned a university emblem for him. Professor Samoc is currently a national professor specially appointed by the president of Poland, the director of Institute of Physics and Theoretic Chemistry at Wroclaw University of Technology. His major research interest is nonlinear optical functional materials. He has published more than 240 papers, which have been quoted more than 4800 times, and the H-index is as high as 38.
