Japanese linguist Noda Hirashi visits JU

November 5, Japanese well-known linguist, Japan’s National Japanese Language Institute professor Noda Hirashi paid a visit to Jiangsu University and made a lecture about the interpretation of Japanese language from the perspective of practice. The lecture was chaired by professor Wang Baotian, vice dean of School of Foreign Languages. The Japanese linguist pointed out that the choice of Japanese textbooks for the students in Chinese-speaking regions should be different from that for the students in English-speaking regions. Professor Noda Hirashi is an authority of Japanese linguistics and Japanese pedagogy, and his representative books have been translated into Chinese and published in China. He earned his Ph.D from Japan’s University of Tsukuba in 1999, and has published 280 books and papers. He concurrently serves not a few organizations of linguistics and Japanese language teaching.
