Uni. of Derby delegation visits JU

October 10, a 3-member delegation from University of Derby (Britain) paid a visit to Jiangsu University. The delegation members were Mr. Nick Slade, director of the International Office, Keith Horton, dean of School of Computers, Law & Business, and Nancy Yu, representative of the university based in Beijing. Jiangsu University vice president Chen Long had a meeting with the visitors. Also present at the meeting were some leaders and faculty members of the International Office and the School of Computer Science & Communication Engineering.
On the basis of earlier negotiation, the two parties specified some relevant details about the academic exchange and cooperation between the two universities. The University of Derby was founded in 1851, and adopted the present name in 1992. It is a comprehensive university. Its current enrollment is 25,000, coming from England and more than 100 foreign countries. The university has 3 campuses in Derbyshire, one of which is in Derby city, and another two in Buxton
