Florida State University prof.visits JU

On the afternoon of December 21, professor Emmanuel Collins, dean of Mechanical Engineering Department of Florida State University, made an academic visit to School of Mechanical Engineering, and delivered an academic report entitled Terrain Classification for Autonomous Ground Vehicles .

Professor Chen Wei, vice dean of the School, chaired the report, and 50 staff members and students attended the report. Professor Collins introduced Carnegie Mellon University’s advanced technology to classify and recognize the terrain with 3D structure light sensor. After the academic report, the American professor discussed with his Chinese counterpart the cooperation between the two universities. The two parties planned to cooperate in undergraduate exchange, postgraduate education and academic research.
