Prof. Ying Luo and his delegation attend International Academic Conference on Experimental Mechanics

Recently, Professor Luo Ying, director of Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, the academic leader of solid mechanics, and dean of School of Civil Engineering and Mechanics, and associate professor Zhu Jianguo led a delegation to attend several seminars on Experimental Mechanics. Those seminars included the 11th Asian Conference on Experimental Mechanics, 2012 Society for Experimental Mechanics Fall Conference and 7th International Symposium on Advanced Science and Technology in Experimental Mechanics (ISEM-ACEM-SEM-7TH ISEM12). Besides, “Nondestructive Testing and Evaluation”, at sub-venue, was chaired by Pro. Ying Luo. There were more than one hundred scholars, coming from about ten countries and regions around the world, attending the conference. The topics for the ISEM-ACEM-SEM-7th ISEM12 cover the following areas: Dynamic Testing and Measurement, Fracture and Fatigue Measurements, Hybrid Techniques, Microelectro-Mechanical System Design and Testing and Nondestructive Testing and Evaluation ,etc. Based on those topics, scholars explored the top problems in the field of Experimental Mechanics and shared with each other the latest academic research results. At the sub-venue, Professor Luo made a report titled “Experimental study on acoustic emission characteristics of debonding” and had a wide academic exchange with the international experts.
