Recently, the Huawei Cup 20th China Post-graduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling Awards Ceremony was held in Southeast University. Wang Haixin, Bu Jun and Huang Hanjing from School of Mathematical Science of Jiangsu University (JSU), won the national first prize. In addition, our students also won 25 national second prizes and 18 third prizes, Prof. Wang Linjun of School of Mathematical Science of JSU was awarded the advanced individual, and JSU was awarded the Excellent Organization Award.

JSU attaches great importance to innovational and practical competitions. Since the launch of the event in 2023, the mathematical modeling coaching team have held a variety of activities, such as competition lecture, intensive training, provincial postgraduate students mathematical modeling practice innovation competition, summer mathematical modeling training, pre-competition multiple rounds of simulation, one-on-one sprint tutoring, etc. To promote learning through competition, JSU will further enhance the comprehensive ability of postgraduate students to innovate and have a solid mathematical foundation and solve practical problems with mathematical models .

The Huawei Cup 20th China Postgraduate Student Mathematical Contest in Modeling was held from Sept. 22 to 26. A total of 19,898 teams of postgraduate students from 507 international and domestic postgraduate training institutions submitted their papers for the competition. The contest has become the largest and most influential national competition for postgraduate students in China.
