From Dec. 10 to 14, the delegation led by Vice President of Jiangsu University (JSU) Prof. Cai Yinfeng attended the Jiangsu-Hong Kong-Macao University Alliance (JHMUA) Annual Meeting and President Forum, and visited universities in Hongkong and Macau.
The JHMUA Annual Meeting and President Forum was held at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). The event brought together 130 leaders and representatives from 38 member universities to review the past achievements of JHMUA, discuss the development plan of the Alliance, and explore collaboration in talent cultivation, research on innovative technologies and other areas between universities in Jiangsu, Hong Kong and Macao. Vice President Cai Yinfeng and relevent staffs from High-level Talents Office and Office of Hongkong, Macao & Taiwan Affairs of JSU were invited to attend the meeting.
Director of the Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs of the Ministry of Education Liu Jin, Director-General of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education Jiang Yong, Secretary for Education of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (China) Choi Yuk-lin, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Educational, Scientific and Technological Affairs of the Liaison Office of China’s Central People’s Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Wu Cheng, Director of Department of Education and Youth Affairs of the Liaison Office of China’s Central People's Government in the Macao Special Administrative Region Li Yongxian, Deputy Director of the Education and Youth Development Bureau of the Macao Special Administrative Region Teng Sio Hong, and secretary-general of the University Grants Committee of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region James Tang Tuck-hong, attended the event and delivered speeches.

At the session of the President's Forum, Vice President Cai Yinfeng delivered a keynote speech with the title of Shoulder the Mission of Developing Agricultural Machinery to Achieve Greater Self-Reliance and Strength in Science and Technology, and Accelerate the Building of a Strong Agriculture, in combination with the university's scientific research and industrial science and technology innovation topic. The speech centered on three aspects:  deepening scientific and technological innovation, accelerating the creation of a new highland for agricultural machinery research, focusing on solving industry problems, continuously achieving new breakthroughs in agricultural machinery technology, focusing on serving rural revitalization, and comprehensively improving the new contribution of agricultural machinery and equipment. During the meeting, she made full exchanges and explored cooperation with representatives from universities in Jiangsu, Hong Kong and Macao.

The delegation visited the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Macau University of Science and Technology and City University of Macau. They had meetings and made exchanges with leaders from these universities over joint training of students, mutual visits of teachers, cooperation of scientific research and other issues. During the visit, the delegation also held a promotion of overseas high-level talents recruitment and an introduction about applying for overseas talents program, and had a meeting with JSU’s young teachers who are having academic visits in Hongkong and Macau.
