2023 Jiangsu “Governor Cup” University Men’s Football League Final (Campus Group) was held in Nanjing Forestry University from November 12 to 18, and the men’s football team of Jiangsu University (JSU) took the crown with an emphatic victory under the leadership of Fan Xiaofei, Huang Huailei and Yu Zengpin.

8 teams participated in the final of the soccer league (campus group). The 8 teams came respectively from Southeast University, Nanjing Tech University, JSU, Nanjing Forestry University, Nanjing Institute of Technology, Suzhou University of Science and Technology, Xuhai Institute of China Mining University and Yancheng Institute of Technology.
There were two stages in the match and the first stage used the single cycle athletic competition system. The 8 teams were divided into group A and group B, and the one with the highest points in each group was ranked first. The crossover knockout match was held in the second stage. In the group stage, JSU’s men’s football team qualified at the top of the group, beating Southeast University by 4:1, Nanjing Tech University by 2:1, and Xuhai Institute of China Mining University by 4:0. In the semi-final stage, we beat the team of Nanjing Institute of Technology by 2:0 and met in the final with the previous champion team of Nanjing Tech University. Finally, we triumphed over the opponent and won the cup with the score of 2:0.
In recent years, the men’s football team of JSU has achieved excellent results in the provincial university football league, winning the championship twice in 2019 and 2020, and finishing the runner-up in 2021 and 2022.
