Recently, the roundtable meeting on the establishment of the International Cooperation Platform for High-end Fluid Machinery Equipment and Technology was held at Jiangsu University (JSU).

The meeting invited 10 renowned foreign experts in the industry, including the Recipient of the Knight of the Order of Academic Palms from the French Academy of Sciences Prof. Gerard Bois, Chairman of the Asian Fluid Machinery Committee and Professor of University of Tokyo, Japan Prof. Chiyoko Kato, Secretary-General of the Asian Fluid Machinery Committee and Professor of Kyushu University, Japan Prof. Satoshi Watanabe, Rhine-Westphalia University of Applied Sciences (Kaiserslautern-Landau), Germany Prof. Martin Böhle and other renowned experts from the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology, National University of Singapore, and Tohoku University. Vice President of JSU Prof. Li Hong, Director of the National Research Center of Pumps Prof. Yuan Shouqi, and leaders of International Office, Office of Science and Technology, and Research Center of Fluid Machinery Engineering and Technology attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Prof. Yuan Shouqi.
At the meeting, Prof. Li Hong delivered a welcoming speech. She hoped that everyone would continue to offer valuable advice for the development of the engineering center and provide excellent suggestions for the development of the discipline and industry. Subsequently, a ceremony was held to appoint the Guest Professors. On behalf of JSU, Prof. Hong Li presented appointment letters to the seven newly appointed guest professors and took a commemorative photo together with them.
After the appointment ceremony, Deputy Director of the Fluid Center Prof. Pei Ji, delivered a report on the construction of the International Cooperation Platform. The report primarily covered three aspects: the status of the construction of the national-level international cooperation platform at the Fluid Center, recent international cooperation achievements, and the main tasks for the next phase. Following the presentation, the attending leaders and experts provided their individual perspectives and engaged in enthusiastic discussions, particularly focusing on future collaboration methods. The experts emphasized the need for future international cooperation to be grounded in discipline development, to strengthen international talent cultivation and collaborative research, and to further broaden the scope and depth of cooperation. They also emphasized the importance of continuing to enhance the basic conditions and talent pool.

Prior to the meeting, foreign experts visited the laboratory of National Research Center of Pumps and gained an understanding of representative large-scale hydraulic engineering pump testing facilities, as well as high-temperature and high-pressure extreme condition pump testing platforms. The experts highly praised the achievements in the construction of the center's laboratory and expressed the hope that the center would continue to leverage its international influence in the discipline and its technological advantages in international cooperation. They encouraged interdisciplinary expansion of research and urged active participation in major engineering projects.
