On Oct 18, Executive Rector of Banja Luka University of Bosnia and Herzegovina Prof. Alexander Ostojic, and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture of Banja Luka University Prof. Branimir Enježić paid a visit to Jiangsu University(JSU). Vice President of JSU Prof. Cai Yingfeng met with the guests. And leaders of the International Office and the Overseas Education College ("Belt and Road" International Talents Institute) attended the meeting.
During the meeting, Vice President Prof. Cai Yingfeng introduced to the guests the progress made by JSU in the areas of talent cultivation, discipline construction, scientific research and internationalization in recent years and reviewed the fruitful achievements of the educational exchanges and cooperation between the two universities. She affirmed the significance of the Central and Eastern Europe Demo Centre Project in the Alliance for International (Capacity) Cooperation of Agricultural Equipment and the international integration of government, industry, university and research for agricultural modernization, the 2+2 joint programme, and "Belt and Road" PhD Teaching Staff Cultivation Program in the integration of industry and education as well as the strategy of international talent cultivation of our university. Moreover, she expressed her hope that the two universities could further broaden the field of inter-university cooperation, deepen the connotation of inter-university cooperation and achieve complementary advantages.Executive Rector Prof. Aleksandar Ostojic said that JSU, with distinctive characteristics and advantages in the field of agricultural engineering, is the first Chinese university with which the University of Banja Luka has signed a cooperation agreement. And the cooperation between the two universities is strongly supported by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Srpska in Bosnia and Herzegovina. University of Banja Luka would continue to cherish the friendly relations between the two universities and deepen the cooperation in terms of the exchange of visits between teachers and students in the fields of engineering and liberal arts as well as the cooperation in joint cultivation.The first faculty under the University of Banja Luka was built in 1961 and formally established in 1975. The University of Banja Luka, currently containing 17 faculties such as the Faculty of Agriculture, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and the Faculty of Mechanics, is a key university in the Republic of Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
