On June 12th, the delegation of Arcadia University led by President Prof. Agyei Neyer visited Jiangsu University (JSU). President of JSU Prof. Xing Weihong met the delegation. Leaders of International Office, School of Mathematical Sciences and Institute of Life Sciences attended the meeting.

During the meeting, Prof. Xing Weihong extended a warm welcome to the delegation, and introduced the achievements in talent cultivation, discipline construction, scientific research, and internationalization of JSU. Reviewing the fruitful results of educational exchange and cooperation between the two universities over the past decade, Prof. Xing Weihong appreciated the contributions made by Arcadia University in the development of the Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education Project in  Mathematics and Applied Mathematics. She expressed hopes for a better role of this program in expanding cooperation areas and yielding more high-level cooperation results.
Prof. Agyei Neyer said Arcadia University attaches great importance to the cooperation with JSU. The two universities have made joint efforts in achieving remarkable results in cooperative talent cultivation, and providing enjoyable experiences for students. He also expressed that Arcadia University will, as always, cherish the friendly relationship with JSU, and deepen cooperation in international talent training and international scientific research with JSU.

Founded in 1853, Arcadia University is a private comprehensive university in USA, with many superior disciplines, including business administration, economics, computer sciences, mathematics, pedagogics, humanities and social sciences. Approved by China’s Ministry of Education in 2012, the Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education Project of JSU with Arcadia University successfully passed the assessments organized by the Ministry of Education respectively in 2015 and 2021, and was listed as a High-level Demonstration Project of Sino-Foreign Educational Cooperation in 2020. The successful implementation of this project plays a positive role in promoting the cultivation of international talents, discipline construction and educational reform of JSU.
