On Oct. 23, the 2023 Jiangsu International Exchange Week on the Cooperation and Integration of Industry, Education, Research & Application sponsored by the Jiangsu Education Department kicked off in Nanjing, Jiangsu University (JSU) participated in the opening ceremony and related activities.
At the opening ceremony, Fellow of the Academy of Sciences, Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, Fellow of the European Academy of Sciences, and Dean of Institute of Quantum and Sustainable Technology of JSU Prof. Federico Rosei signed an international cooperation agreement on Cooperation and Integration of Industry, Education, Research & Application with Meike Solar Technology INC.
In the afternoon of the same day, JSU and Southeast University jointly oganized the Intelligent Manufacturing Session and Health and Medical Care Session. Prof. Federico Rosei and Fellow of the Royal Society of Sciences of Canada and the Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering Prof. Mohamad Sawan made the experts’ presentations respectively to introduce the new ideas and development trends of the international cooperation and integration of industry, education model. Prof. James Gao of the University of Greenwich, Prof. Ma Xiandong of Lancaster University, Prof. Sun Jin of Yangzhou University, Prof. Yong Yangchun of JSU, the leaders of Jianhua Building Materials and other enterprise shared successful experiences and classic cases on the talent training model of cooperation and integration of industry and education. Prof. Hua Xijun, Prof. Hu Xinghao and Prof. Liu Zhifeng of JSU demonstrated the transformable achievements in their respective professional fields, providing new prospects for cooperation for the on-site enterprise representatives.The theme of this exchange week event is "International Cooperation and Integration of Industry, Education, Research and Application for a Shared Future". International academic special events are held around 9 key fields of Jiangsu's economic and social development, including intelligent manufacturing, health and medical care, atmospheric science, industrial design, and energy and materials science, etc. The aim is to work together to create a more globally attractive and open cooperation ecosystem, allowing more innovative talents to gather in Jiangsu, share development opportunities, and deepen international cooperation.Vice President of JSU Prof. Cai Yingfeng and relevant staff members from International Office and the Department of Industry, Academia and Research attended the event.
