April 24-26 National Symposium on Development and Teaching Reform of Courses about Agricultural Biological (Construction ) Environment and Energetic Engineering 2009 co-sponsored by National Guidance Commission on the Teaching of Farming and Forestry Engineering, Chinese Society of Agricultural Engineering  Educational Commission and Jiangsu University was held at Jiangsu University. All the Ph.D  and M. phil supervisors of programs of Agricultural Biological Environment and Energetic Engineering from 16 provinces of China attended the meeting. Professor Li Pingping, vice president of Jiangsu University, delivered a welcoming speech on behalf of Jiangsu University, and Professor Li Baoming made the opening address. Professors Li Baoming, Mao Hanping and Zhang Quanguo made key-note speeches respectively entitled Some Hot Topics about the Development of Agricultural Biological Environment and Energetic Engineering, The Development and Status Quo of  Horticulture in Europe, and The Energy Structure with Chinese Characteristics & Renewable Energy.  The conference is no doubt a good chance to publicize Jiangsu University’s discipline of Agricultural Biological Environment and Energetic Engineering.  The staff members concerned of Jiangsu University attended the symposium.
