The 11th International Symposium on Measurement Techniques for Multiphase Flows
The 11th International Symposium on Measurement Techniques for Multiphase Flows （the 11th ISMTMF） was held in Zhenjiang from Nov. 3rd to 7th, 2019. This international symposium was sponsored by National Natural Science Foundation of China, Measurement Techniques for Multiphase Flows Committee of China and Multiphase Flow Association of Japan, and hosted by Jiangsu University (JSU). More than 200 experts and scholars participated from Germany, Japan, South Korea, the United Kingdom, the United States and China.
In the opening ceremony of 11th ISMTMF on Nov. 4th, Prof. Chen Hong, Vice President of JSU, delivered the welcome speech. Prof. Wang Junfeng, Dean of the School of Energy and Power Engineering of JSU hosted the opening ceremony. Prof. Shigeo Hosokawa of Kobe University, Japan, Prof. Cai Xiaoshu Director of Measurement Techniques for Multiphase Flows Committee of China, University of Shanghai for Science and Technology delivered the opening remarks respectively. After the opening ceremony, Prof. Cameron Tropea, Technische Universität Darmstadt, Germany, Prof. Hiroshige Kikura, Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan, Prof. Wuqiang Yang, the University of Manchester, UK, Prof. Mingdong Dong, Aarhus University, Denmark, Prof. Jun Chen, Purdue University, USA, and Prof. Wang Junfeng, Jiangsu University, China gave the keynote reports.
From Nov. 4th to 5th, more than 140 experts and scholars in 24 sub venues gave reports on 10 topics, including multiphase flow experiment method, tomographic imaging and visualization technology and optical non-contact measurement technology, and conducted in-depth and extensive discussions with the participants. Several participating enterprises demonstrated the latest multiphase flow scientific research and measurement equipment. On the afternoon of Nov. 6th, the participants visited the relevant laboratories, and university history museum of JSU.
The 11th ISMTMF aims to provide an academic exchange platform for international experts, scholars and engineering technicians engaged in measurement techniques for multiphase flows, to promote the research and development of international measurement techniques for multiphase flows. It’s one of the most professional academic symposiums in the world in the field of measurement techniques for multiphase flows.
