The Signing Ceremony of Boli Grant

On May 15, the signing ceremony of the Boli Grant of Jiangsu University and Tao Xinbo Student Aid Foundation was held in JSU. Some dignified delegates who embraced the signing ceremony included Prof. Yuan Shouqi, Chair of University Committee of JSU, Prof. Zhang Jijian, Vice President of JSU, Li Jianwei, Chairman of the Tao Xinbo Student Aid Foundation of Jiangsu Province, Zhang Liwei, Secretary General, leaders of the Development Department and the Students’ Affairs Office, and some student representatives. The ceremony was hosted by Yang Daojian, Director of Students’ Affairs Office.


During the ceremony, Prof. Zhang Jijian, briefed the leaders of the Foundation about the progress and achievements of the University’s Boli Society made in the past years. The leaders of the Foundation applauded the good work done by the university in the cultivation of Tao students and the management of the Boli Society. Chairman Li Jianwei stated that cultivating Tao students is Tao Xinbo's lifelong expectation and greatest wish. The Foundation will establish a long-term cooperation mechanism with the university to build a platform for the growth and development of students while jointly educating persons throughout the process.

Prof. Yuan Shouqi, Chair of University Committee highly praised the work of the Tao Xinbo Foundation in Jiangsu Province. He believes that the Foundation has a high orientation, far-reaching plans and remarkable results in students’ aid and funding. At the same time, he also suggested that the Foundation should strengthen the promotion of Tao Xinbo's spirit and the idea of helping students, so that more persons in the society can understand his good deeds and be encouraged to join the cause.

Chairman Li Jianwei and Prof. Yuan Shouqi both signed the grant agreement of the 2019 Boli Grant in JSU. In 2019, the Tao Xinbo Student Aid Foundation of Jiangsu Province will subsidize 200 Chinese students of grades 2016-2019 in the university with RMB 5,000 yuan per person, making the total amount of financial aid 1 million RMB.

The Boli Grant funds the largest number of students on campus and has the highest total amount of financial aid in the university. Since its establishment in 2012, the grant has supported 440 students, with a total amount of 6.82 million yuan. Based on the guidance of the university and the foundation, training was offered to students with both excellent academic achievements and good moral characteristics from families faced with financial difficulties.
