On July 13, the latest ESI data was released. JSU ranked 998 in the global ESI comprehensive ranking, firstly in the world TOP1000, ranking 54th in the mainland China's universities. JSU has five disciplines ranked top 1%in the  world according to the ESI. The pharmacology and toxicology have reached 91.89% of the 1% baseline of ESI. The latest data shows that compared with May, the steady advancement of our university’s ranking reflects the school's ESI discipline construction is entering a propitious development track.

On July 17, Shanghai Ranking Consultancy Company officially released the "2018 World-class Disciplines Ranking", covering 54 disciplines in five major fields of science, engineering, life sciences, medicine and social science. food science and engineering, chemical engineering have entered the top 100 in the world, and the overall ranking ranks 49th among mainland China's universities. Besides, metallurgical engineering entered the top 200 in the world, and 6 disciplines including mechanical engineering, energy science and engineering, environmental science and engineering, chemistry, bioengineering, and Nanoscience and technology entered the top 300 in the world.

At present, JSU is in the development stage of comprehensively promoting the construction of high-level universities. JSU will continue to pay attention to the extensive ranking of ESI disciplines and the ranking of international disciplines, strengthen policy support, and continue to help the construction of “first-class disciplines” and high-level university construction.
