JSU Hosted 2015 Annual Chinese Society of Agricultural Engineering Processing and Storage Conference

The Chinese Society of Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural Products Processing and Storage Engineering Branch 2015 Annual Conference was held at Jiangsu University from November 27th to 29th.

The Conference is an annual event of advanced academic exchange about the field of agricultural products processing. More than 700 experts and scholars from across the 126 units attended the meeting, including Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering Zhu Beiwei, Dean of the Ministry of Agriculture Planning and Design Institute Zhu Ming, President of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Mechanization Sciences Li Shujun, Dean of Dongguan University of Technology Li Lin, Vice President of Jiangnan University Jin Zhengyu, Vice President of Nanchang University Xie Mingyong, Executive Vice President of Qiqihar University Zheng Xiqun, and Vice President of Bohai University Li Jianrong.

JSU President Yuan Shouqi greeted the guests at the opening ceremony.Speeches were given by the Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture Bureau of Agricultural Products Processing Pan LiBing, Chairman of the Chinese Society of Agricultural Engineering Zhu Ming and Chairman of the Chinese Society of Agricultural Engineering Agricultural Products Processing and Storage Engineering Li Shujun. The opening ceremony was chaired by Dean of the Faculty of Food and Biological Engineering of JSU, Ma Haile.

Conference topics included food physics processing technology and equipment, agricultural products quality inspection technology and equipment, and food and nutrition and functional foods. Academician Zhu Beiwei and 15 domestic and foreign renowned experts in the field of agricultural products processing and storage engineering gave excellent academic reports. 69 representatives conducted special reports in the five sub-venues. The Conference received a total of 181 abstracts and 69 posters. The "2015 Chinese Society of Agricultural Engineering, agricultural products Processing and Storage Engineering Branch Annual Conference Abstract" was edited and 12 students won Outstanding Poster Awards.

After years of effort the Chinese Society of Agricultural Engineering, agricultural products Processing and Storage Engineering Branch Annual Conference has created a brand. It will play a positive role in rapid development of China's agricultural products processing industry in the Thirteenth Five-Year Plan.
